HROUG 2025

Being a speaker has its downsides – stress, extra work and travel.

But it also has fantastic upsides – adrenaline, extra work and travel!
And the best part? When that work is noticed and appreciated.
I was lucky enough to bring home that recognition from the recent HROUG 2025 conference. My presentation, The Big Bind Theory, took third place in the Development and Middleware category, and in the overall scoring, I ended up just off the podium, right behind some truly outstanding speakers!

Kamil Stawiarski and Radosław Kut’s session, “Using JAS-MIN like a PRO! DB Performance Profiling session,” took second place, while “Too many commits can kill you! (And everyone else) – checkpoint queue latch internals” came fourth in the Database & Infrastructure category.

Polish representation at a very high level 🙂
